Seghesio, Alexander Valley Sangiovese

Seghesio, Alexander Valley Sangiovese, the fruits for this wine come from two of the estate vineyards - Home Ranch and Rattlesnake Hill in Alexander Valley. Aggressive hand canopy management was maintained on the vineyards and both a green harvest and veraison thinning were performed to ensure even ripening and to keep yields low.
Seghesio, Alexander Valley Sangiovese has a bouquet of concentrated red fruit; raspberries and cherries with notes of anise. The palate begins cool, with nice acidity leading to a rich mid-palate. Fruit flavours and typical Sangiovese dusty tannins combine on the lingering finish.
